I want to share a story with you if that’s okay with you.
Two summers ago, I met Dr Regina Rosace at the Live Well Community Event held on Chardon’s square. We had known each other from a distance for several years. She approached our table that day and we spent a long time talking. You see, she had already been through several rounds of physical therapy in her life, as well as undergone surgery for an injury. Suffice it to say, the rehab didn’t go well, nor did her experience with physical therapy. Much time had gone by, and she was still impacted in her life by pain and limitations.
After speaking, I encouraged her to give us a try here at Fit 4 Life Physical Therapy. Reluctantly, feeling like she didn’t have much to lose, and likely not very hopeful we would be different, she agreed.
If the first 6-8 visits or so of her therapy, we provided her with stretches that provided near complete relief of her longstanding low back pain, as well as freed up the scar tissue restrictions from her surgery. She gained control over her symptoms and that holiday season, cooked a Thanksgiving dinner for her family, something she’d previously been unable to do due to the weight of the roasting pans, etc.
Dr. Rosace has gone on to become one of our Wellness Warriors. She values her treatment sessions each month as we work to keep her soft tissue restrictions under control and her quality of life where she expects it to be as a mom of 9 and grandma to 5 beautiful grandchildren.
We were speaking a few months back about how frustrating the process of getting quality help can be when you are hurting. The general population doesn’t know where to turn when they get hurt or something starts hurting them. Now most of you likely have heard me say that WE, here at Fit 4 Life, should be the people you see first. Many of you have helped us spread that vison already by sharing us with your friends and families. Dr Rosace has her own very articulate opinion and perspective and wants to share it with you all.
This past November, we invited Dr. Regina Rosace to guest speak at one of our monthly community events. She shared her insight and perspective on who is the best medical provider to see when pain or injury strikes. Dr. Rosace shared her experience with physical therapy, as well explained the road map of education various health care providers receive. Following her presentation, we believe you’ll see how physical therapists are precisely trained to be your go-to provider for pain and injury. Our educational coursework, now entry level DPT programs, prepare us to identify red flags that need referral out to other providers. We can shorten your path to recovery, often saving you not only time, but money as well.
Please help us spread this message by sharing it with people you love. There may come a time when pain is threatening to derail their quality of life and we can help avoid unnecessary pain and suffering. By way of a reminder, you don’t need a referral in the state of Ohio to see a physical therapist. We look forward to seeing you in the office soon. Call for availability today. 440-340-3717.
